Nick Idelson
Technical Director and New Business Development
Nick has over 30 years expertise in algo trading, including founding and managing teams for major banks and hedge funds as well as pioneering distributed algo trading and execution environments. Closely involved with trading regulation since 2003 including MiFID & MAR, he specialises in creating novel, practical and high-performing solutions to some of the most challenging problems facing financial markets.
Nick provides thought leadership around regulation of Algo Trading and Market Abuse. He also speaks regularly on Best Execution. Since co-founding TraderServe in 2000, Nick has overseen all technical development of products and services and now also heads new business development focused on the flagship product AlgoGuard – the first commercially available algorithm stability testing platform which prevents deployment of algos which contribute to market disorder or commit market manipulations.
Nick has a 1st Class Honours Degree in Physics from Imperial College London and researched into Non-Linear Optics at Oxford University.
Nicholas Hallam
Research Director
Nicholas joined Nick Idelson as Chief Model Builder in the Quantitative Analysis and Technical Trading team at HSBC. Together they designed, built and operated one of the most sophisticated quantitative trading environments of its day. With over 20 years’ experience in designing quantitative models, Nicholas is uniquely qualified to direct the ongoing research into TraderServe’s model design and testing systems.
Nicholas has a Ph.D. for research on “Logical and Epistemological Problems in Quantum Mechanics”, an M.Sc. (Distinction) in Mathematics from London University and an M.A. in Mathematics and Philosophy from Oxford University.
Tony Holder
Operations Director and COO
Tony joined TraderServe in 2000 and following successful roles in both development and production is now responsible for TraderServe global operations and QA.
He has over 20 years experience as a consultant in the software industry and has worked for major banks, fund managers, blue chips and financial software companies.
Richard Wilson
Engineering Director
Joined TraderServe in 2000. TraderServe lead developer with over 20 years experience developing both front end/user interface and enterprise server side systems.
Richard is the creator of the WinApe CPC emulator and Jemu, a java based system emulator. Rich has a degree in Applied Computing.
